Orchards and olive groves

the taste of tradition

Our farm grows orchards (cherries, apricots, peaches, plums and apples) and olive groves. The fruit, strictly seasonal, is picked and sold the same day directly to the end consumer, adopting the Km 0 policy. Instead, part of the harvest is used to make excellent homemade jams. Oil, on the other hand, is our real flagship, and to date, with our 600 olive trees, we manage to produce 3 different types of extra-virgin olive oil.

  • Olio Santa Cristina = bland of carboncella, leccino, sargano. Mild and fragrant oil, suitable for everyday cooking.
  • Solagna oil = bland of carboncella, leccino, sargano, frantoio. Oil with a strong, sharp flavor, bitter and spicy, ideal to use raw to enhance the flavor of roasted meats or excellent on bruschetta. This oil is the winner of several awards.
  • Tenera Ascolana oil = monovarietal Tenera Ascolana olive, a particular oil for true connoisseurs with a classic tomato scent.

Our Fruits

the taste of tradition

Cherries

The queen of spring! We have 800 cherry plants, a spectacle during flowering, of different varieties that then ripen staggered in time from early May until late June. To name some of the most famous: Durona, Railroad, Dogwood, Big Alice, Bigarreaux, Early Lory. All fruit is good for you, is an almost obvious phrase, but this one in particular is rich in vitamins A and C, which are able to easily replenish potassium, calcium and iron in the body for a joint action that helps overcome problems such as hypertension and constipation, protect eyesight and help the skin in a sunbathing phase.

Apricots

Ripening at the tail end of cherries starting in late June, the first stars of summer! Our sweetest apricots are rich in beta-carotene and lycopene, which are useful for the skin and against cholesterol and free radicals.

A special idea

Use one of our oil bottles for your wedding favors, with the option of even customizing the label for any important occasion or event!

Peaches

Pink, peach blossoms: the delicate little flowers that completely cover the branches of peach trees are one of the first wonders that the spring season brings. Followed within a few weeks by what is instead one of the quintessential summer fruits, the peach. Yellow peach, white peach, walnut, furry peach…there is something for everyone! Good eaten fresh, but also ideal for jams or peaches in syrup.

Apples and plums

We have several varieties of apples: Royal Gala, Fuji, Cerine (the famous “moon piss” or frozen apples!), Annurca (whose biological value has recently been re-evaluated for its benefits in lowering cholesterol, strengthening hair and rich in antioxidants and minerals that help muscle tone), Rosa dei Sibillini apples (the famous Pianella for its flattened shape, a PDO of our area). Also delicious are the plums: the Stanley, the elongated black ones (ideal against constipation) to be eaten fresh or in syrup; the October Sun, round with a yellow and pink color; and the small Regina Claudia plums, as sweet as a few.
